No problems with drag and drop here either. You may have to explain your issues a bit cleared and be more specific in what you do and what you have tried. The only change I've found in that regard in Lion is that if you select a folder or file, then press Command-C Copy , then go to TextEdit and press Command-V Paste , the item's icon will paste in rather than its name.
